The Skagit Art Association (SAA) is a non-profit organization, founded in 1956 to create, foster and sustain interest in the arts; to further the understanding and appreciation of art in all of its forms and to sponsor displays, exhibits and educational programs. Each year the association awards a scholarship to a deserving local art student.
Members will have the opportunity to apply to be in the Art in a Pickle Barn show.
The show is held each spring as an element of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. To participate in the Art in a Pickle Barn show, the artist must be a member of the Skagit Art Association. There is a separate application form, jurying, and fees associated with being in the show.
The SAA fiscal year begins June 1st and ends May 31st. We invite and encourage all types of artists to join our group. Membership fees are $30 for artists. A joint membership for an artist and his/her partner is $35 per year.
Meetings are held each month EXCEPT April, July, August and December. It is highly recommended that you attend all of the meetings.
