Membership &
Art in a Pickle Barn Show

The Skagit Art Association (SAA) is a non-profit organization, founded in 1956 to create, foster and sustain interest in the arts; to further the understanding and appreciation of art in all of its forms and to sponsor displays, exhibits and educational programs.

Each year the association awards a scholarship to an art student at Skagit Valley College or similar organization.

Members enjoy displaying their art or crafts at the Art in a Pickle Barn Gift Show, which is held each spring during the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival and any future prospective shows.

The Skagit Art Association fiscal year begins June 1st and ends May 31st. Membership fees of $30 for artists are accepted after June 1st each year.  Participation in the Pickle Barn Show requires applying for the show (see link below) and additional fees.

We invite and encourage all types of artists to join our group. Also, a joint membership for an artist and his/her non-artist spouse is $35 per year.

Meetings are held monthly except for April, July, August and December. Meetings often feature speakers, art critiques or demonstrations of art.

If you wish to be in touch with fellow artists and art lovers and share your interests and ideas with them, you are invited to join the Skagit Art Association.
